Fortunately, we don't have to do this alone...

I was born at home on the living room floor...my father caught me...I grew up wild and free...home-schooled...grinding our own flour...bathing in water dirtier than me...I was present at my youngest brother's birth and helped raise him...

I thought motherhood would kick in some ancient knowing and trust...that somehow, because of my "natural" upbringing, I would be successful...a perfect mother that just knew how to breastfeed and raise flourishing, happy babies...

Wow! was I in for it...colic, improper latch, no sleep, chronic constipation, and my relationship with my partner began to deteriorate...we were in crisis...

How would my story have been different...if I had asked for help...if there had been someone by my side to whisper advice...encouragement...someone with experience (recent experience)...to be gently guided and coached...someone to tell me what a great job I was doing...and to also help me see what things could change and thus improve...

What if there had been a woman who knew how to help me....a postpartum doula...

I humbly, and with much care and respect, offer my services to you and yours that are beginning the journey to parenthood for the first time, or again and wanting a different experience...

That is just fancy talk for lady who helps you out during the first couple hours, days, weeks, even months of your new baby's life...

I am available on-call, over email, and with all the home visits you can handle...
